How to Connect to America On Line

Now that you have access to the Internet, you can sign on to AOL without dialling their local number. You can access AOL thru the Internet at the full speed of your modem, you are no longer restricted to the 2400 bps local access dialup service. You simply log on to Acronet and then run your AOL software (after making the following change to your AOL setup) and just like that, you are accessing AOL at speeds up to 115200 bps depending on your modem. Simply make these changes to your AOL configuration:

Note: You don't have to be logged on to Acronet to make these changes. Make the changes first, then dial into AcroNet and then run your AOL software.

Configuring AOL for Access from the Internet

Run your AOL software
Select SETUP
Select EDIT LOCATION
Change the NETWORK setting from SPRINTNET to TCP/IP
Save the change and you are done!
Dial into AcroNet
Run AOL software as normal
