If you are having trouble receiving or sending e-mail, check that your settings are correct by clicking the "Settings" button on the sidebar menu. The AcroNet mail server was upgraded shortly after
midnight on 2/12/2000 to a bigger faster server. If your settings were correct you will not have noticed any interruption in your service. The move to a new server was not required at this time but was done
to accommodate future growth in the use of e-mail and in SPAM control. If you were checking e-mail during our upgrade process, you may find that you had received duplicates of those mails the next day, this happened
because we wanted to ensure that no e-mail would be lost The new mail server incorporates the very latest in state of the art SPAM control. All incoming e-mail is checked against the Real-time Blackhole List
(RBL) database of known SPAM sites. Any e-mail from these sites is refused by our mail server, no matter who it is addressed to, it is returned to the sender with a link to a web site where they can make their
case to be removed from the RBL More info about the RBL is available at this web site http://maps.vix.com/rbl/ |
